Strange

It's just so strange what can happen in one day that makes it so different from the one before or after. I woke up on July 20th, 2015 just as I do every day. This day just like all the rest as I was headed into the bathroom to brush my teeth I saw what appeared to be a penny on the floor right in front of me. It was round and copper but strange. I thought it looked odd somehow. Almost like it was a bit to thin or maybe not the whole penny laying there. Like the shadow of a penny, but it was in fact a penny. I've seen enough of them to know what they look like. Just different is all I can say. I stared at it a second or two. So anyway, I bent down to pick it up as not to step on it with my bare feet. By the time my hand touched the floor to pick it up I couldn't see the penny anymore! It wasn't there!  It was gone! I kept feeling around, Behind my foot, next to the rug, then by my other foot! Where the heck is the thing I wondered? It was gone. Just gone! I figured, O.K. I'm half asleep, I must have overshot my bending over. So I stood straight up and looked behind me, I looked exactly where I first saw it, "there was no penny anywhere"? Was it a penny? What was that? Where is it I wondered? Why didn't I just kick it aside, I thought to myself, I'm still to sleepy for all this to be going on! It was round, it was copper, and it was gone!

I looked for that penny all over the hallway floor. I thought out loud. O.K., look, this isn't a large hallway, where are you? Where the heck did you go?
Once again I glanced all around and then I said out loud as well,
"I know what I saw, where did you go"?

I continued on into the bathroom pretty frustrated to finally brush my teeth, that darn penny was haunting me though!

So I shrugged my shoulders and said, Oh well, I'm not giving it a another thought!

I got dressed and decided to go to my favorite coffee shop to get a coffee. I figured I'd get a change of scenery.
I threw my purse on my shoulder and I hadn't moved an inch yet and all of a sudden my home alarm system started loudly beeping, I mean it was going off like a freight train!
That really startled me!

I didn't have my glasses on, so as I walked up to the base of the system on the wall, I couldn't read what it was saying, so I quickly rambled through my purse to get my glasses. As I stood there reading the base message, I was shocked to see what I read, it was the "Away" function beeping loudly.
In other words, I had like 10 more seconds to get out of the house before the extremely loud alarm would start screeching!
Oh my word, I thought, what is going on today?
How did this happen?
Why did the alarm start to engage out of nowhere?
I quickly thought of the alarm code and entered it.
Whew! Just in the nick of time, I was able to stop the alarm from going off!
I stood in the middle of the room again.
First I saw the penny, that wasn't there, now the alarm set itself off. Really? Hmmmmm. What's going on here?

I'm obviously not alone here today.
I quickly took authority in the name of JESUS against whatever was causing the unbalancing of events and continued out to get my coffee.
I still have no idea what the penny or the alarm were trying to tell me.

You really never know when a change of balance will occur around you. But you can always be prepared and ready to set things straight again. It's a lot like an accident. You just don't plan for this kind of stuff, it just all of a sudden happens.
Never loose faith, always be prepared.
Most people would have been full of fear from seeing a disappearing penny and a loud shrieking alarm turning itself on. Don't let fear ever overtake you. Yes, strange things happen from one day to another but it's usually not something that will harm you. Something wanted my attention and I don't ever play into this kind of thing. I ignore strange happenings. Spirits like to "play". I don't play back, I rebuked the atmosphere in the home in JESUS name, and commanded anything ungodly out of the home.
We are truly never alone!
Strange things always seem to reach out after me. It's as if they try to test me, or taunt me. Knowing I won't tolerate them, I do wonder why these situations happen.
And truth is always stranger than fiction!
I went off to the coffee shop and continued on with my day.
Not everything is demonic, not everything is bad, but it's all weird to me. I always prepare for the worst and I'm set. Why show up at a gun fight with a rubber sword? That's my take on all of these happenings.
If it were someone trying to connect with me, seeing the penny, then they missed their mark.  I'm grateful none of these happenings have the power to hurt us. Shake us up for a moment, but never hurt us. We are never alone. I always have GOD with me!
Penny for your thoughts!

Joshua's Healing

It was 1975. I had just had my son Joshua. He was so fragile. I was told by the staff at the hospital that he had a membrane issue in his lungs and he needed to be in an incubator immediately. I was confused? He was named by GOD, literally, and now he was ill? I was really confused about the health issue he was experiencing. I trusted the doctors in the hospital. I agreed to let him stay in the incubator. I asked many times if I could hold him. The doctors said "Oh no, he has to be kept alone" in the incubator to heal.
I watched him lay there, all hooked up to monitors and lines going in him and lights burning his little tender skin. He lay naked in the incubator. It was really hard to watch. I continued to trust the doctors. On the 5th day I sat and watched him. He looked more and more frail and unhealthy. I asked to hold him, the doctors said  "Oh no" he is to sick. Then I was sent home from the hospital, My Insurance was not going to pay for my extended stay. Only Joshua's. I went home without my little bundle of joy! I asked if perhaps I could hold him before I left, The doctors said "NO". It was a very hard thing to do to leave him in this huge institution alone and in a small acrylic hot box. I went down to the car and looked back at this huge building. Sirens were blowing, lights flashing as the emergency entrance lit up with another sadness for another family. I drove away in tears.
I was home for two day's. I had visited the hospital every day as they would allow me. I came crying and left crying.

On the eight day I got a call from the hospital, saying Joshua was dying. He was not expected to make through the night. I panicked.
I ran to the hospital and said to the doctors, "Let me hold my baby"! they said ", no,once again". He was to ill. I said to them, well, If he's going to die anyway, what difference does it make if I hold him? The doctors were pretty adamant about me not having contact with him. I was very upset! The doctors left. I pleaded with serious tears to the charge nurse to let me hold him. I would say nothing to the doctors.
PLEASE, He is mine! Let me hold my son or I will demand his release now!
She had tears in her own eye's. She wrapped him in a tiny blanket and handed this small frail baby to me. She said to me, "Just for a bit" O.K., I said YES! Then I held him while my tears just flowed. I held and kissed the little tender cheeks of my son. I told him how much I loved him. I asked him to hold on and be strong. I told him he was named by GOD and he should look for GOD'S help to recover. I held him up to the sky and said "LORD, if it is your will to take him home, I accept your will for us, BUT, if it is not your will, please, heal this child you gave to me! I kissed him and sang to him. I whispered how I loved him over and over in his ear.  The nurse came back in the room. She said I should put him back in the incubator. I did not want to let him go. But I reluctantly kept promise to her.

The next morning I was getting ready to go to the hospital. I had hardly slept. My heart was so heavy. I had HOPE however that GOD would hear my prayer. I knelt at the side of my bed and prayed with my husband that Joshua would recover.
Just as we were praying the phone rang. It was the hospital, It was the main doctor in charge. He said,
"this is hard to say to you, I want you to know something happened here last night with your son".
His signs all took a turn for the better and through the night he has gotten better and better. Today he is like another boy, he is showing significant improvement. If this continues throughout the day, you may be able to take him home this afternoon.  He is showing all sings of a healthy newborn.
I was smiling from ear to ear. I knew GOD had heard that prayer and healed Joshua. Holding him made all the difference. I went straight away to the hospital. There were several doctors in the room with the incubator. Each one looking puzzled. But positive.
The main doctor came to me and said, I see no reason why you can't take him home now.
With that I unpacked his little white and blue knitted outfit I gotten him, gave it to the nurse. She dressed him and moved him to a little rolling acrylic bed, just like all the other babies in the ward had.

That evening, Joshua came home with me from the hospital.
I looked back again at that huge institution, I saw the emergency room lights as I did once before. I wondered why this odd circle of life and peril continued in the world.
I saw the nurse that let me hold my son. We briefly made eye contact. She looked away, but had a smile on her face as she nodded and walked on.
I kissed my boy and got in the car. We drove home singing to Joshua and kissing him all over his tiny face.
The LORD gives and takes away.
Today HE gave.

You Are Loved

Back in 1973 I was just another pretty face in the hippie movement. I was a believer in all things peaceful and groovey. Loved the music and the spirit of the day. Especially my flower braided hair and my comfy jeans with the engraved sayings of Jimi Hendrix I stitched on them. It was a time in my life I smiled a lot.

I was searching for something, but I was to young to know what it was. Music guided me at that time like I believe it did so many others. My fear was that music was like a pied piper leading us all into some strange trap. I wanted to understand life and live life well. I watched some friends succumb to drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, strange religions and odd life styles. I watched but never followed. The pressure was there but I saw emptiness at the end of the day. I just didn't want anything controlling my every waking hour or my finances.

I found myself alone a lot. I was different. I felt like I was an observer, not part of the crowd. It was desperately lonely, but it was also very peaceful. I was O.K. with it.

One afternoon I decided to visit a friend and while there I had an experience with the LORD. It lasted 2 hours at my friends home.  It just happened. No one was talking religion or witnessing to me. It was like the time had come to fruition and it was upon me. Predestined for that very moment in time.

My friend saw what I was experiencing, along with another friend that came to visit as well. I didn't really know who JESUS was but HE wanted me to know who HE was. I wasn't looking for HIM.  HE drew me to HIM.  I later found out HE was with me all along. Showing me the choices in this life that were available for the choosing, if you wanted them.

I began a relationship with JESUS that day that turned my life around. I hold fast to HIM still today from that one meeting with HIM.
No one witnessed to me, read scripture to me or shared their salvation message. I didn't go to a church service or have some one hand me a tract. JESUS introduced himself to me
and I have never been the same.

YOU can know HIM as I do. Just as I did. You don't need any invitation to go anywhere or do anything special. HE already knows you and is crazy in love with you.  It's all so simple really. You only have to ask HIM to come into your life. HE will. Then your new relationship with HIM begins. You won't be perfect, your face won't change or many other outwards things. However, your entire spiritual life will be born again. You will have an inheritance instantly that is beyond your widest imagining's. You will live forever securely in HIS presence and peace.
Life will look different, yet be much the same. What do you have to loose?

YOU are already Loved!
